Premier Chris Minns has confirmed that $700million has been earmarked by the brand new Labor Government to build a 300-bed Rouse Hill Public Hospital with an Emergency Department.

In a response to questions by the Hills to Hawkesbury Community News following the State Election outcome, the Premier’s office confirmed it will be going forward with the pre-election promise to greater than double the Coalition Government’s commitment to well being in the North-West.

Mr Park mentioned: “The Liberals promised this hospital for eight years without taking any motion to see this a lot needed facility delivered. Labor is committed to delivering Rouse Hill Hospital.

“We could have extra to say on this project because it progresses.”

Labor’s pre-election promise was that: Any new hospitals built underneath Labor will transfer to a full campus mannequin, beginning with Rouse Hill which could have a childcare centre and healthcare employee housing, each on site.

The pre-election promise also introduced $150 million to increase the capacity of Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals – including an extra 60 beds and extra services similar to chemotherapy, cancer treatment, and dialysis.
