The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique adventure in hiking and riding that should be enjoyed by everyone.

The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest cycle tunnel, was constructed as a part of the 42-kilometer cycle route which is a loop around the capital.

The tunnel connects Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. It has a southern entrance in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the closest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.

The 2.1-kilometer long tunnel was inaugurated on Thursday, by Jerusalem and heritage minister Ze’ev Elkin and Moshe Lion, the Mayor. Moshe Lion. נווה פריצקי Avi Baleshnikov of Gihon Chairman of Gihon and a plethora of other cyclists were also present.

Jerusalem was once popular tourist destination because of its historical past. Elkin’s Ministry and the Tourism Ministry budgeted the project.

Elkin said that the Kerem Tunnel project was a crucial element in achieving the goal of altering the way of transportation in Jerusalem. “The new tunnel will be connected to the Jerusalem Ring Path. It will link to the numerous cycling routes that exist in the city. They will be laid in its numerous neighborhoods. The aim is to promote cycling among the residents of the city.

In the 90s in the 1990s, in the 1990s, Kerem Tunnel was excavated to relocate the main sewer line from Gihon Corporation to the Sorek purification plant. It is now utilized for infrastructure purposes and is also home to the fifth water line which is operated to Jerusalem from the Mekorot water company.
