NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ — In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourists arriving from America. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% growth over 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is exciting to once again witness an growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are thrilled to have witnessed an improvement in the trend and expect this trend to last throughout the months and years to come.”

Canada, which has 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, is not much from the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was exciting to see tourism from Canada to Israel rebounding. “We aren’t too far from our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that the growth in tourism to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more comfortable traveling internationally.”

Israel hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, 969,600 of which were from the United States. Since May that year, when Israel opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
