NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is thrilling to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to witness this change and are expecting a steady upward trend for months, and possibly years.

Just like in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not too far away from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that this growth in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain comfortable travelling abroad.”

נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in 2019 including 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they’re vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
