NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswirein July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. “The United States has been our most important market for Israel’s tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had been celebrating record-breaking figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.

Canada which isn’t too far from that of the United States of America, is set to beat the number of tourists visiting Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that “it is so exciting to watch how Canada’s tourist to Israel is booming.” We’re still not away from our record-setting numbers in 2019, and we are hoping that this surge in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally.”

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May The country has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
