NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is a 13% improvement from the year before.

Canada is set to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019, with 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they’re vaccination-free. The country has already hosted over 600,000.
