The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s first bike tunnel, opened as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path. This 42-kilometer cycling route surrounds Jerusalem.

The tunnel runs through the Nahal-Refaim-Emek-Motza path. The southern entrance is located in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban and its northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem, about half a kilometer from the Kerem junction.

Inauguration of the tunnel that is 2.1 kilometers long took place in Jerusalem and the Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Mayor Moshelion, Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman of the company) along with hundreds of cyclists.
