NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019 and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.

Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August witnessed 6,000.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country’s official reopening for all tourists in May saw more than 600,000.
