NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country each month. It’s a fantastic positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an increase in the many months to be.”

Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is set to beat the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in tourists in August.

“It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is rebounding,” said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not far from our record in 2019 and we expect that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more confident traveling abroad.”

Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world during 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of them were Americans. Israel’s official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. The country has already welcomed more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
