NEW YORK – Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

“It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing,” said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not too far away from our record numbers for 2019 and we anticipate that this growth in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more comfortable traveling abroad.”

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country’s official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
