NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is exciting to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019,” he stated. “The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel and prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 was announced, we had record-breaking tourism entry numbers each month. We’re extremely pleased to witness an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an upward trajectory for many months and years to come.”

Canada is set to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not too far away from our record numbers for 2019 We are hoping that the growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain confident about traveling internationally.”

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May, when the country reopened to all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status More than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
