NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 that’s a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. “The United States is our most important market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. We are so happy to see an improvement in the trend and anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come.”

Canada, which has 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 in August isn’t far behind the United States.

Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world during 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of them were American. Israel’s official reopening to travellers from May 2018. The country has received over 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
