NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. נווה פריצקי נווה פריצקי Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. נווה פריצקי “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers every month. נווה פריצקי We’re thrilled to witness this positive change and we anticipate an upswing for the many months and years to come.”

נווה פריצקי Canada is also on track, just as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August witnessed 6,600.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that “it’s thrilling to observe how Canada’s tourism is rebounding.” We’re still not far from our record numbers in 2019, and we are hoping that this increase in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling abroad.”

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 were of the United States. The country’s official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
