NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he added. “The United States has been our largest source of tourism for Israel inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, we were celebrating record numbers of Israel’s tourism entry each month.

Canada is not far behind the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. It reached 7,200 tourists in July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

“It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is booming,” said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are getting close to our record 2019 numbers. We expect that this increase will continue as Canadians travel more abroad.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May this year The country has received more than 600,400 US visitors.
