NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over the year before.

Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel by 7,200 tourists in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
