    NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

    “It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019,” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. It’s a fantastic positive change that we are happy to see and we anticipate an upward trajectory for months to be.”
